Cuff Links – Gifts of meaning

Gifts are special and ensuring that they resonate meaning with the wearer is an imperative. Imaginarium was approached by a doting uncle who wanted to make his nephew’s wedding gift memorable.

Challenge

At a time when Customization is the key, the task was to come up with something which the groom would relate to and use in his day-to-day life.

Process

Imaginarium tried to answer the question- what is personal? And the answer was Customisation- more specifically customised curation! After a session of ideation, the unique idea of a stunning pair of personalised cuff-links was zeroed on. A thumb fingerprint of the bride and the groom was taken for imprinting on the cuff-links. The fingerprints were converted to a 2D image and a 3D model was created using a CAD software. The file was then sent for printing the master pattern. This was later casted in Silver and finished to perfection.

Technology Used

  • 3D CAD modeling
  • Master pattern using DLP
  • Casting in Silver
